CHOIR

Angaston Uniting Church had an excellent Choir for many years, but due to lack of numbers, was forced to closed in 2000. Because of the musical interest in the town, Angaston Uniting and Zion Lutheran Churches continued with a combined Choir, and subsequently the Valley Voices Choir has become prominent in the town and district.  Currently with approximately 40 members from the Barossa, the Choir sings at Christmas functions, as well as Seniors Homes, Concerts, Barossa Vintage Festival.

MWANDI VILLAGE APPEAL

For quite a number of years the Church has sponsored two children in the Mwandi Village in Zambia. Each year in June we raise money for warm blankets for as many children as possible. Each one costs $30. We have a silver Elephant to place money in.   On the last Sunday in June we have a shared lunch followed by fun and games and a big push for donations. The money is sent directly to the village so what we raise is what they get.

During the year when people have excess garden produce a donation is sought to secure the produce and support the children’s education which is $110 each per annum.
